Congratulations to the Zambia U-20 for winning the 2016 COSAFA Cup.
The entire team FAZ Executive, the Secretariat, the Government, the technical team and the Zambian people at large.
It is a good preparation for the Africa Cup coming up in two months time but the quicker this has no negative influence on the boys, the better. I am very sure we will handle this victory better than the 2012 victory because we shall take care of the negative effects of victory.
We were superior in all aspects in the final but there is no perfection in football and we should continue to work hard to raise the game to new levels before the finals. Most importantly, we need to condition are strikers to clinical finishing because the chances will be few at the bigger tournaments.
We also need to increase the pace of transitioning and the rate of reaction to unexpected eventualities like the goal we conceded which to a deflection from the set piece. There is always danger to overlook mistake when a team wins but this should not be the case because we know that we should deal with the shortcomings despite the win.
Well done once again Zambia U-20, the journey has started.
